- Macerata is one of the largest towns in Le Marche. It sits almost exactly between the beautiful coastline and the Sibillini mountains. Must visit Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza della Liberta and walk through Corso Matteotti and Corso della Repubblica. If you visit between July and August must visit the Sferisterio well known venue thoughout Italy and abroad for open air concert and opera.
